Ingredients

  • 1 Large Lettuce
  • Blue Cheese
  • Diced Tomatoes
  • Crumpled Bacon

Instructions

  1. Start with a head of iceberg lettuce. Cut the lettuce into quarters, making sure each wedge is equal in size.
  2. Rinse the lettuce wedges under cold water and dry them with paper towels. This will help remove any dirt or debris and ensure the lettuce is crisp.
  3. Place each wedge on a plate and add your toppings. Classic wedge salad toppings include bacon, blue cheese crumbles, diced tomatoes, and a creamy dressing like blue cheese or ranch.
  4. Add additional toppings based on your personal preference. Some great options include sliced red onions, diced avocado, chopped hard-boiled eggs, or croutons.
  5. Drizzle the dressing over the top of the salad, making sure to cover each wedge evenly.
  6. Finish the salad with a sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper and a few chopped fresh herbs like parsley or chives.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
  8. Remember to keep the lettuce wedges cold before serving and to add the dressing just before serving to prevent the salad from becoming soggy.
